    Description

Japanese Netsuke Carving of Small Figures of Wood or Simulated Ivory.  The Tauga Nuts in the photo are 2-1/2" long.
The Tauga Nut is very hard and can be polished to look like ivory.   But it is very hard so a Dremel with a diamond blade will not cut it because the small motor does not have enough torque. The Japanese use
    saws
    and files
    in constructing them.
Book 175 Pages  I am including two nuts. You can get a bag of 5 Tauga Nuts on Ebay 5 for .  You can also use any hardwood which is best before you try a harder one.   Look at the ones Ebay has for sale just type in "Tauga Nut" to see them.  You have to be careful cutting because it is easy to cut your hand when cutting something small and hard.
