Description
Intended for emergency use, this respirator can be powered either by electricity or by hand if the power fails. The cabinet and frame are of the simple cabinet construction, all joints being glued and screw-fastened. The bed and the end panel and headrest are joined to form a single unit that rolls on swivel casters. Drive ratios are used to give the proper diaphram action, and a variable speed pulley on the motor can be adjusted to give a respiratory frequency within the required range of 12 to 20 cycles per minute.
