Handmade Fidget Lap Pillow, Sensory Quilt, Activity Mat
This small handmade & quilted fidget mat is about 21" wide x 16" long. The simple 5 1/4" squares are shades of light blue, pink, & multi-colored in "Teapot" patterns. The backing is a soft multi-colored "tie-dyed" fleece. The lap quilt has a layer of batting & binding. There is a "Teapots" theme throughout this quilt. There are beads, rings, a bell, pon-poms & a pocket with Velcro opening. There is a variety of different textures on the quilt.
These fidget quilts can be beneficial for people with dementia or stroke symptoms & for children with Autism or developmental delays. With various materials & fabrics visual, auditory & tactile stimulation is provided along with simple problem-solving skills. Activities provided by sensory quilts can decrease anxiety, bring a calming effect, act as memory triggers & provide activity with a purpose. This fidget mat can be used while sitting at a table or in a wheelchair or bedside.
The fidget blanket was made in a smoke- & pet-free home. If soiled it probably would be best to spot-cleaned. If washed even on a delicate cycle some of the attachments might come off.
Not intended for children under the age of 3. Please supervise while in use.
